EPISODE 1: HOREHOUND
In episode one of The Wildest West podcast, hosts Max Sparber and Courtney Mault drink Rock and Rye liquor, sample cowboy candy, visit cowboy-themed attractions at the Mall of America, and discuss the films "Lonesome Cowboys" by Andy Warhol and "Wild Gals of the Naked West" by Russ Meyer.
EPISODE 2: GOWER GULCH
Max and Courtney return to their old stomping ground of Hollywood and take a tour of cowboy Los Angeles
EPISODE 3: CHIHUAHUA
Max and Courtney discuss Mexican cowboys, including a stroll down Lake Street in Minneapolis, a surprisingly large amount of mezcal, and the 1960 Mexican singing cowboy/space alien movie Ship of Monsters. They also discuss how it is possible to walk into a saddle and tack shop and a year later be performing a singing cowboy show in Omaha.
EPISODE 4: LUMBERJACKIN'
Max and Courtney have a problem: Too much cowboy-themed candy. So they speed round through it all in this episode, while also discussing a trip to the hallucinogenic Minnesota's Largest Candy Store, Courtney's lumberjack family, a lumberjack festival, and lumberjack gift ideas.
EPISODE 5: SAPLINGJACKS
Max and Courtney take logrolling lessons, discuss mythical creatures invented by lumberjacks, make their own sourtoe cocktail (which involves a severed human toe in a glass of alcohol), and discuss Guy Madden's unexplicable film "The Forbidden Room."
EPISODE 6: SNAKESHEAD TRADE WHISKEY
Max and Courtney eat rattlesnake chili, Max makes a frontier whiskey recipe that seems like it might be the most poisonous ever, and Courtney wins a logrolling prize at the Minnesota State Fair.

Max and Courtney go to Northfield to watch their annual recreation of the end of the Jesse James gang; Max discusses gun twirling and other Western arts.
EPISODE 8: BLAME DAD
Max and Courtney go horseback riding and country western line dancing.
EPISODE 9: LIKE MINERS PANNING FOR GOLD
Max and Coco discuss their scheme to take over the world using country- and cowboy-themed creative work.
EPISODE 10: TAKE THE HOTDISH
Max and Coco eat some bison, discuss creating a calendar of upcoming writing submissions, talk about the issue of privilege in the writing community, and have a long Minnesota goodbye.
EPISODE 11: POLKA FUN TIME
Max and Coco go to a polka event in the northern suburbs of Minneapolis. What it's like completing a list of 100 creative ideas. How blogging and vlogging can lead to professional opportunities.

Max and Coco sample cowboy lemonade, discuss winning the The Susan Glaspell Short Play Award, and talk about how submitting your work to publishers ends up being a battle with the self.
EPISODE 13: BEAN BAG LOG LADY
Max and Coco visit a Twin Peaks pop up, discuss a piece of Western art and the work of contemporary Native artist Julie Buffalohead. Max explains uploading plays and screenplays to various digital sites, including The Playwrights Center, New Play Exchange, and FilmFreeway. Max and Coco talk about writing a werewolf gunslinger movie and the need to respect your premise, no matter how silly.
EPISODE 14: HOW WE GOT HERE
Coco discusses some vintage cowboy-themed arcade contraptions in San Francisco. Max and Coco discuss previous times where they decided they would start writing professionally and how it happened. An update about some successes.
EPISODE 15: THE PLATE
Max and Coco discuss fashion, why Max had a decorative plate inscribed with "Quantity and Persistence," and how they have been elaborating and expanding on their list of ideas for creative projects.
EPISODE 16: THE RETREAT
Max and Coco do their own version of a corporate retreat, involving a lot of field trips, including the Pavek Museum, where they discover a Minnesota version of the Grand Ol' Opry, the former Kay Bank studio, where Dave Dudley recorded "Six Days on the Road," an exhibit of Prince fan art, and an indoor restaurant designed to look like a trailer park ringed by food trucks.
EPISODE 17: THE MANY JOBS OF CLINT HOWARD
Max and Coco have been busy, between doing a lot of writing, a freak April blizzard, and telling tall tales about lumberjacks and Clint Howard. Coco also discusses a trashy 50s novel about lumberjacking called Logging Chance.
EPISODE 18: THE HAT THEORY
Max and Coco throw axes in Northeast Minneapolis. They drink alcohol and toast their incremental successes and educational failures. They discuss how they determine the next steps once they have written something. Finally, they discuss how being creative has forced them to be very, very tidy, and how this has started to change their lives.
